Dr. Cordero is a yoga and meditation teacher, as well as a Reiki master. She has been teaching various styles of yoga, including Vinyasa, Bhakti, restorative, and gentle yoga for students of all levels for over 20 years. She has held workshops and retreats worldwide teaching pranayama, meditation, Ayurveda and yogic philosophy. Her teachings of yoga include a practice of poses that incorporate cakra and energy awareness through each posture, allowing each movement to be a conscious meditation. She also has specialized training in transcending sexual violence through yoga and offers a program, Yoga as Healing, specifically for survivors of sexual assault. She provides private and group yoga classes in Santa Barbara and offers an 8 week Yoga as Healing series focused on various themes conducive to healing after trauma. She also offers drum circles and healing through sound workshops that include crystal bowls, gongs, and the tānpura. Her teachings of meditation range from guided visualizations, sound meditation, and also finding your own inner peace through silent meditation techniques. She has incorporated different energetic healing modalities including Reiki to support the practitioner with profound relaxation and inner harmony.
Dr. Cordero has traveled throughout India and lived in a yoga ashram for several months strengthening her knowledge and experience of a yogic lifestyle.
